Equality Impact Assessments (EIAs).
If you are in the public sector you will need to complete an equality impact assessment on all major decisions and projects. I can help coach your staff on how to do this effectively. I can also design a template for you to use, tailored to your organisation and the type of decisions and projects you will be assessing.
I am experienced in running small events to raise employee awareness on equality issues. These can include information displays, talks from relevant community groups and interactive workshops. These can also be useful for trustees or councillors who need to develop their understanding of certain equality issues.
Preparation for equality assessments.
If your organisation wants to be assessed against an external equality standard, I can help you prepare. I can review the current position, the required standard and create an action plan for how to get there. I can work with your staff to help them deliver internal change and be able to demonstrate improvement.
